BIOL 380 - Field Ecology This course involves intense field training and discovery in natural areas of North Carolina. Students will apply class/lab instruction in a variety of natural habitats. Taxonomic identification, sampling and data collection techniques, and community and ecosystem level processes are emphasized. Policy issues and anthropogenic impacts are included where possible to incorporate current events. An important component of this course is learning to work with others under relatively trying conditions in the field.
Prerequisite(s): BIOL 101 , BIOL 102 , and approval of instructor; BIOL 201 recommended Credits: 4 hours
