Comprehensive Science (9-12) Education, B.S.

Educational Outcomes

Graduates that complete the Comprehensive Science Education Program (9-12) will be eligible to apply for licensure to teach science courses and:

  1. Graduates in Comprehensive Science Education will be proficient in content knowledge (fundamental scientific phenomena, methods, concepts, and theories).
  2. Graduates in Comprehensive Science Education will be able to plan and deliver instruction that demonstrates mastery of science content, appropriate use of pedagogical skills, and appropriate integration of technology.
  3. Graduates in Comprehensive Science Education will demonstrate the ability to collect and analyze data from formative and summative assessment to support learning for all students.
  4. Graduates in Comprehensive Science Education will understand the importance of and be an advocate for science in the high school curriculum.
