This course will study the practice of conducting a print business using web sites and the software companies that offer web-to-print solutions. Students will learn the basic use of javascript and study the front-end of the web-to- print process. Students will use the web-to-print software Skyline to create pre-defined templates and then post these templates in an online store front for later customization by the customer. The end product will be produced using a digital printing device. In addition, students will also study print- on-demand and variable data printing and the use of pre-printed materials that are pulled from an inventory.
