EDUC 510 - Advanced Curriculum and Instruction

This course explores the foundations and principles of curriculum as well as current trends and issues in curriculum and instruction. The fundamentals of curriculum explored in this course will inform the candidate’s practical study of instruction in EDUC 520 and EDUC 521. This course requires that the candidate demonstrate his/her knowledge and expertise in the areas of curriculum and instruction based upon theoretical, philosophical, and research based educational practices. This course includes field experiences in the elementary (K-6) setting.
