MUSI 321 - Third Year This course in applied music is open to music majors only. Work in applied music is regarded not merely as technical training in performance, but also as a study of the standard literature. The student receives one half-hour lesson per week and must complete at least seven (7) practice hours per week.
Applied concentrations must follow the natural progression of coursework. Two semesters of freshman-level (100-level) courses must be completed before advancing to sophomore-level (200-level) courses. Two semesters of sophomore-level (200-level) courses must be successfully passed to allow registration in junior-level (300-level) courses, and two semesters of junior-level (300-level) courses must be completed for eligibility to take senior-level (400-level) courses.
