ART 151 - Ceramics I A course designed as an introduction to the fundamental processes of working with clay, with a focus on functional work, basic construction techniques of hand-building and wheel throwing, glazing and firing theory. Students will also develop a basic understanding of the historical and cultural aspects of ceramics. Lectures, demonstrations, critiques and applied practice.
Prerequisite(s): Art major or minor Credits: 3 hours (Fall)
