This course is an introduction to the principles of cellular biology. Topics covered are basic chemistry; biological molecues; cell structure, transport and energy transfer; cellular reproductive and genetics; molecular biology; scientific and experimental methods; and biotechnology. These topics and their ethical implications are investigated as they relate to contemporary issues. Three hours lecture and one three-hour laboratory per week.
