REL 101 - Cultures and Contexts of the Bible An introductory examination of major biblical texts and narratives from the perspective of their history, literature, culture, religious practices, theology, ethics, and social values. Students will develop the skills to critically analyze written sources, evaluate historical religious viewpoints, understand the different methodologies employed in the study of religion and religious texts, and apply biblical principles to contemporary situations.
