IS 250 - Computer Hardware and Software Concepts A course covering fundamental computer hardware and software concepts necessary for entry-level IT professionals. Topics include the configuration and deployment of computing resources, the installation of simple wired and wireless networks, troubleshooting and repair/replacement of computer hardware components, the configuration of client-side virtualization, the installation and upgrading of applications software and operating systems, the detection and removal of malware, the implementation of systems and network security measures and other topics that align with the objectives of the CompTIA A+ CORE 1 and CORE 2 certification exams.
Prerequisite(s): IS 101 , IS 110 , or IS 150 Credits: 3 hours
