GC 135 - Printing Applications I


This course gives students the opportunity to fully understand the fundamental concepts of sheet-fed offset press systems and operations, and of the entire offset reproduction process. Students design and print various single and multi-color forms on small format offset presses. Web-offset presses are also discussed. Safety in the work environment is stressed. The student will form teams and complete print jobs utilizing pre-press, press, and print finishing skills. Each team is responsible for identifying production requirements and producing jobs to provided specifications.

Prerequisite(s): GC 105  or GC 110  
Credits: 3 hours
