ENGL 207 - Survey of African American Literature to 1940

A study of major African American writers from the beginnings to 1940. Course studies will include African American Vernacular, Slavery and Freedom Literature, the New Negro Renaissance, and the Harlem Renaissance.

Prerequisite(s): ENGL 101  and ENGL 102  
Credits: 3 hours
