MUSI 429 - Recital The senior recital is intended to be a capstone experience for students who pursue a music degree at Chowan University. Student enroll in this course the semester in which the senior recital is to be presented, concurrent with applied lesson enrollment. The student prepares a research paper discussing the recital repertoire as determined by the applied instructor. The paper addresses the historical, pedagogical, and analytical background and context of the compositions presented. The paper is approved by the applied instructor before the student presents their recital hearing. A quorum of the faculty must approve the research paper and recital hearing prior to presentation to the public. Credit will be assigned on a pass-fail basis.
